Abu Dhabi, 22–23 January 2024

MEloDIZER was presented at IDEAS 2024, the International Conference on Desalination, Environment and Sustainability held in Abu Dhabi on 22–23 January 2024. Hosted by the NYU Abu Dhabi Water Research Center, the event gathered researchers, industry leaders and policymakers to discuss technological advances in desalination, water reuse and environmental protection.

Sessions explored the interplay between climate change, desalination technologies and the environmental sensitivity of the Arabian Gulf. The conference also highlighted the UAE’s rapid progress in water innovation and its strategic investments in large‑scale desalination infrastructure.

MEloDIZER contributed to discussions on next‑generation membrane materials and energy‑efficient MD systems, reinforcing the project’s commitment to sustainable water solutions for both industrial and drinking water applications.
