CNR-ITM, the MEloDIZER partner leading the project’s work on green membrane fabrication and characterisation and acting as Project Manager of the consortium, took part in the 14th International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM 2026), held in San Antonio, Texas, from 18 to 25 July 2026.

Held every three years, ICOM is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading congresses dedicated to membrane science and membrane processes, bringing together researchers, engineers, technology providers and industrial stakeholders from across the globe. The 2026 edition covered key themes including reverse osmosis, gas separation, PFAS removal, sustainable membrane fabrication and emerging characterisation methods, several of which intersect directly with MEloDIZER’s work on next-generation green membranes for industrial water reuse and decentralised desalination.

The participation reinforces MEloDIZER’s presence within the international membrane science community and offered the opportunity to exchange with peers working on sustainable separation technologies worldwide.
