From 22 to 25 September 2025, the MEloDIZER project was represented by its partner AquaBioTech Group at Aquaculture Europe 2025, the largest European conference and exhibition dedicated to aquaculture, held this year in Valencia, Spain.

The event gathered experts, researchers, and industry leaders for a rich program of presentations, discussions, and networking activities focused on the sustainable development of aquaculture. Within this context, AquaBioTech proudly presented MEloDIZER at its booth, both visually and through direct discussions with visitors.

Participants showed strong interest in the aquaculture applications of the project, particularly in the potential integration of the innovative modules developed within MEloDIZER into existing and future fish farming systems.

Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, MEloDIZER aims to revolutionize water treatment and reuse through advancements in Membrane Distillation (MD) technology. The project focuses on developing next-generation, energy-efficient, and sustainable membranes and modules that reduce industrial water consumption by recycling resources. Demonstrations are also addressing the applicability of this technology in industrial and drought-affected environments, fully in line with the EU’s strategic goals for sustainable water management, critical raw materials, and renewable energy-powered processes.

The presence of MEloDIZER at Aquaculture Europe 2025 marks an important step in connecting cutting-edge research with real-world applications, reinforcing the project’s commitment to shaping a sustainable future for water and aquaculture.
